Imagine feeling the sea air in your hair, the scent of salt, and the sun. Imagine opening your eyes and seeing a rainbow painted on the little houses on the hill with the sea as a backdrop. Does it seem like a dream? It's not! You will sail in elegance and comfort among the islands of the Gulf of Poets, along the Levante coast.
You'll reach the small port of Portovenere, a medieval village with the Church of S. Pietro dating back to 1227 AD. The village has artisan shops and typical restaurants. From the village, you can access the Church of San Pietro. From the sea, a 20-meter-deep natural cavity between the Castle and San Pietro is the Byron Cave. A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A unique place, the gateway to the Cinque Terre
You can reach the Marine Park with a special permit to enter. Here you can find dolphins and baleen whales, making it ideal for whale watching.
The first stop is Canneto Beach, which can be reached by boat. Here, a beautiful spring water waterfall flows down the slope for a refreshing dip. There are many marine species in the sea: a paradise for snorkeling lovers. Listening to relaxing music accompanied by an aperitif. The stop in this location will be an unforgettable experience. The wild charm is amplified by the narrow stretch of beach overlooked by high cliffs.
You arrive in Riomaggiore, the starting point of the famous Via dell'Amore. The houses are painted in the typical colors and are two or three stories high
Then you will see Manarola, one of the most picturesque villages, famous for its open-air Christmas Nativity scene. A jagged cliff with coves and beaches.
Then Corniglia, a pearl set on a promontory about 100 meters high, an ancient Roman village with an agricultural tradition.
From Corniglia, you can reach Vernazza, the pearl of the Cinque Terre, with its amphitheater-shaped harbor and the Church of Santa Margherita. With the Taxi Boat, you can enter the small harbor for lunch in a beautiful location with a veranda overlooking the sea with its silvery reflections.
A short sail takes us to Monterosso, where we disembark and visit the cathedral of San Giovanni Battista and the wine bars where Sciacchetrà is sold.
On the way back, a stop for a swim in Guvano with beach equipment, music, and drinks. Everything is available. Guvano was a hippie hangout and is now a naturist destination.
The colors of the houses in the 5 Terre are visual landmarks, allowing sailors to orient themselves towards the village. Between the sky and the sea is the description of these villages set in the rock, which seem suspended between the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea.
The villages follow one another in Luca's film, just like the window of the train that connects this stretch of coast.
