Vernazza (5 Terre): olive grove tour and oil and wine tasting

Walk on one of the lesser-known trails of Cinque Terre with a licensed local guide. Visit a beautiful olive grove where there are two friendly ponies! Enjoy a lovely refreshment!

Hike one of the least known but most fascinating trails in the Cinque Terre. After a quick but engaging visit to the town of Vernazza, we will begin to climb along the fascinating mule track, arriving in about an hour at the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio (13th century) at an altitude of about 330 meters. During the ascent, we will admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its characteristic terraces supported by kilometers of dry stone walls, where olive trees and vines are cultivated to produce prestigious wines. In front of the shady Piazzale del Santuario, a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic holm oak stand out. Before descending, we will visit the charming olive grove of the Azienda Agricola la Bottega, where Ligurian PDO extra virgin olive oil is produced. It will also be an opportunity to visit two cute ponies, which are the farm's mascots. In the shade of a pear tree, you can enjoy light refreshments with a food tasting of Cinque Terre extra virgin olive oil and our Bottega wine, accompanied by the typical Ligurian focaccia. Children will be offered local, zero-mile juices.
