Description
This Cinque Terre boat tour from Monterosso keeps things sociable and unhurried: a shared boat that takes 8 guests at most, for around two and a half to three hours at sea. Private trips use the same boats and captains, so the standard is high even when the seats are shared.
From the water you pass all five villages one after another and see them as sailors do, with pastel houses stacked on the cliffs, terraced vineyards and a rugged shoreline. The local captain tells you about the area and picks the nicest stretches of coast to cruise along.
Weather and sea permitting, the boat stops for a swim in clear turquoise water, in coves and small inlets that can only be reached by boat. Snorkelling gear is on board, and there is time to rest on deck and take photos.
