The train from La Spezia to Manarola is the quickest way into the Cinque Terre: a direct ride on the Cinque Terre Express, run by Trenitalia, that takes just 11 minutes. The ticket is for a one-way trip between La Spezia Centrale and Manarola, in air-conditioned regional trains.
Services run every day, from early morning until late at night, with up to four trains an hour, so you can pick a departure that suits your plans and come back easily after a day on the coast. Staff are on hand to help you board.
Manarola is only one stop of the Cinque Terre Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and La Spezia itself is worth a look before you leave: its nineteenth-century naval arsenal, the Technical Naval Museum with its ship models and navigation instruments, and one of the largest commercial ports of the Ligurian Sea.
The ticket is digital, personal and non-transferable. Show its barcode on a phone, tablet or computer together with an ID document whenever staff ask, and you can retrieve the QR code from the confirmation email. The ticket validates itself at the scheduled departure, and the name cannot be changed.
