Description
The Cinque Terre tour by train with a guide is a private day in the national park, led by a local environmental guide who is also a licensed naturalist. It starts at La Spezia Centrale station, and every transfer along the coast is by train.
You visit three of the villages in turn: Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso. A guide with a naturalist's training walks you through the landscapes around each village, and the train links one stop to the next.
- The Cinque Terre Card, with the train tickets
- A nature hiking guide
The excursion lasts around six hours and finishes with the train ride back to La Spezia Centrale. Food and refreshments are not included, so plan to pay for lunch along the way. Anyone with mobility problems should pick another outing. Bad weather can lead to a cancellation, and then the money is returned in full. It runs in English, Italian and Spanish.
