Description
A wooden boat painted pink waits at the small marina of Riomaggiore, and its skipper, Captain Jenny, is the first and only woman to lead boat trips in the Cinque Terre. This pink boat tour follows the coast for about three hours, so the five villages pass by one after another, seen from the water.
The boat stops in front of each village while the captain shares local stories and legends. She runs the tour herself in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
- Guvano cave, set between Corniglia and Vernazza, where the first snorkelling stop takes place
- Aquapendente, a natural pool between Vernazza and Monterosso, with a freshwater waterfall that works as a shower
- Coves that can only be reached from the sea
On the way back there is music and a local aperitif, with prosecco, while the light of sunset settles on the villages. Snorkelling gear, towels, water and soft drinks are all provided, as is a bottle of prosecco shared by every two guests.
From Riomaggiore station, walk through the tunnel to the marina and look for the pink hull.
