Description
A kayak tour in Lerici starts at the meeting point in town, where the guides put you at ease and give a short, simple briefing on paddling and safety. After that you are in the water, even if you have never held a paddle.
The excursion follows the coast of the Gulf of Poets at a relaxed pace, among cliffs and coves that can be reached only from the sea. The water is clear, the setting is quiet, and experienced instructors stay with you throughout. There are stops to look at the panorama, rest and, if the sea is calm enough, swim.
Two options are on offer:
- Four hours, paddling out to Tellaro
- Two hours, on a shorter route for children and less fit people
Couples, families and friends all fit the easy pace, and groups are small. A stable sea kayak, a paddle and an approved life jacket are provided, with a certified local guide. Getting to the meeting point, food and refreshments are up to you, and children under 9 cannot join.
