Description
The Cinque Terre e-bike tour leaves from Monterosso al Mare, a few minutes from the train station, and heads uphill into the national park, away from the tourist crowds. The electric motor does the climbing, so you can enjoy the views instead of the effort.
The route runs over paved roads, 18 km in all with about 500 metres of altitude difference. It crosses terraced hillsides with vineyards and olive trees, and the guide talks about the nature and traditions of the area as you ride. The turning point is the ancient sacred sanctuary of Soviore, with sea and park views, a spring of clear water and a coffee bar.
- The terraced landscape of Cinque Terre National Park
- The sanctuary of Soviore and its panorama
- A panoramic spot for a slice of local focaccia and a glass of wine
You come back to Monterosso by a different road, which closes the loop. The e-bike, helmet, bottle of water and guide are included. The tour is for anyone who can safely ride a geared bike on a road shared with cars; children from 9 can join, and younger ones can ride in a trailer if you get in touch before booking. It takes about four hours.
