Description

Walk along one of the lesser-known trails of the Cinque Terre with a local licensed guide. Visit a beautiful olive grove where there are two cute ponies! Enjoy a delicious snack!

Take one of the least known but most fascinating paths of the Cinque Terre. After a quick but engaging visit to the village of Vernazza, we'll start climbing along the charming mule track, arriving in about an hour at the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio (13th century) at about 330 meters above sea level. During the ascent, you'll admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its characteristic terraces supported by kilometers of dry stone walls, where olive trees and vines are cultivated to produce prestigious wines. In front of the shaded Piazzale del Santuario, you'll find a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic holm oak. Before heading down, we'll check out the charming olive grove at Azienda Agricola la Bottega, where they make Ligurian DOP extra virgin olive oil. It'll also be a chance to visit two cute ponies, who are the farm's mascots. In the shade of a pear tree, you can enjoy a small refreshment with a tasting of the extra virgin olive oil of the Cinque Terre and our wine from the Bottega, accompanied by the typical Ligurian focaccia. Kids will get local, zero-kilometer juices.
