Description
The "L.R. Rosaia" Art Pavilion is located in La Spezia and has been home to the Civic Seal Museum since 2000, as well as the Special Library of Art and Archeology and temporary exhibitions. The building was designed in a neo-medieval style in 1924 by architect Franco Oliva as the headquarters of the Hygiene Office.
The Seal Museum offers visitors the most complete sphragistic collection ever assembled. In fact, it houses over 1,500 seals, dating from the 4th millennium BC to the present day. The collection was donated a few years ago by Lilian and Euro Capellini to the Municipality of La Spezia.
