Description

Palazzo Castagola is located in the historic center of the city, right near the central Piazza Sant'Agostino and the narrow street of Via del Prione.

The building has been almost completely transformed in its external facades following an intervention carried out in the years after the First World War, which involved, among other things, the relocation of the main entrance on Via Sant'Agostino, which today is located on Via Gioberti.

Originally, the palace belonged to the noble Castagnola family; inside, there are unmistakable traces of a lavish past, showing a Baroque layout of the structure, enriched by heraldic emblems carved at the advent of the Ligurian Republic.
