Description
The Palace of Justice of La Spezia is located at the intersection of Viale Italia with Via Carducci, in the Mazzetta district, in a strategic position as it is close to both the A12 and A15 motorways, as well as the Police Headquarters and the Provincial Carabinieri Command, in addition to the Parco XXV Aprile.
It is the work of the Milanese architect Ignazio Gardella (other of his works in Liguria include the Teatro Carlo Felice and the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa) and represents with its solidity and compactness, institutional stability. It is also one of the symbols of the modern city, which those coming from the motorway encounter in front of them. It was completed in 1994, after many years of work (and numerous controversies due to their slowness).
